Some useful things for you to know…

We’re sure you have lots of questions about hiring a room for your event, so here are some answers to frequently asked questions. Just give us a call if there’s anything else you need – or better still, arrange to come in to have a look around.

Can we decorate our room?

Absolutely. Feel free to put up bunting, banners and balloons and whatever other decorations you like – as long as it doesn’t involve a hammer, we’re pretty relaxed about what you do.

Can we do our own catering?

Yes. We find a lot of people prefer to do their own thing on the food front. We have rooms that come with a small kitchenette for cold buffets, plus room options where you have a large professional kitchen at your disposal. If you decide you don’t want to DIY, you can bring in your own caterers or use our recommended ones.

Are we allowed to run our own bar?

Of course – we’ll just need £25 to cover the cost of the licence. Alternatively you can use our recommended bar supplier or hire your own.

Are you a child-friendly venue?

Children love it here! We’re not a ‘Don’t touch that!’ kind of place so kids are free to have fun. We also have lots of outside space for them, including a safe enclosed garden, and there is a communal recreation ground and play area right next door.

What about pets?

They’re very welcome. As long as they’re accompanied by a responsible owner, they can join guests in their hired room as well as enjoy the outside space.

What time do we have to leave?

For evening parties you can stay until midnight, but we have to ask you to be strict about leaving quietly by that time so as not to disturb our neighbours too much.  You will also need to leave the Hub as you found it, but if it’s a weekend, then coming back on Sunday morning to finish off the clearing up is allowed.  We work on trust and will probably give you a key to lock up and get in the next morning.

Do we need to pay a deposit?

We’ll need a security deposit of £250 for parties. So long as our T&Cs are met, the money will be refunded to you.
